Belgian-born French writer Georges Simenon (1903-1989), author of over 200 books.


Some of his works are The Strange Case of Peter the Lett (1931), The Man Who Watched the Trains Go By (1938), Act of Passion (1947), and The Little Saint (1965).

Preferred pipe: Unknown, but had some 200 pipes and never smoked the same one twice in one week.

Preferred tobacco: Dunhill's Royal Yacht.
